Please review the available slots and sign up on Trooptrack. Our troop's goal is for every girl to participate in at least two booth sales.
Typical Cookie Booth process for our troop:
1. The adult in charge is responsible for arranging pick up of cookies & table. That can be at the meeting prior to the booth if communicated in advance.
2. Scout/Adult introduce themselves when arriving at the store. Ask the store where to set up. Yes, even if a different troop is packing up to leave, our troop still needs to verify this information with the store.
3. Set up where the store directs you to. Remember, please do not block or impede traffic into the stores. Please be courteous!
4. Smile! Have fun selling cookies! Scouts should be the ones making sales by asking all foot traffic if they would like to buy cookies. Encourage girls to practice different sales pitches to find the ones that work for them. Make sure to say thank you, even to those who decline.
5. At some locations we will have a troop coming in right after us. Please be conscientious of what our time slot is. Your clean up should not impede the next group from setting up sales at their designated time.
6. Make sure your booth is reconciled and recorded on your booth tally sheet. This can be done as you are breaking down or after. Adult in charge will arrange for cookie & table drop.
Scouts can do a walking/wagon booth sales through your neighborhood or at a sporting game for example. If your scout is interested please sign up for a 'Cookie Jar" in Trooptrack. Pick up and drop off will be handled similar to a traditional booth sale.
*If you do not see a time/location suitable for your scout, please contact cookies@gstroop2289.com as there are many additional availabilities other than what we have reserved. Please do NOT approach a store to set up a booth. This must be done through the service unit.
**Parent/child booths work well with older scouts (4th grade & up). It is recommended Daisy & Brownie scouts work booths with older Girl Scout siblings or fellow scouts.
***While we try to include our siblings in many activities, at the booth, siblings are discouraged from joining our scouts selling cookies.
****Please remember booth etiquette. Girls need to be in uniform/easily identifiable as Girl Scouts. Masks are optional. While adults may have chairs the girls may not. Please no food or drink on the sales table besides the cookies being sold. If you need to eat or drink, do it away from the booth and sales. ****
